Europe 22010, Day 29, Coventry, England Friday 25 June 2010

We spent Friday 25 June exploring the museums and galleries in Coventry. We started at 'The Herbert' museum and gallery named after Industrialist, Sir Alfred Herbert, who donated $100,000 for it construction. We viewed the history gallery, Discover Godiva, Peace and Reconciliation ( a recurring theme in Coventry which was so damaged by bombing in WW2) , visual arts and elements gallery.

After lunch we made our way to the nearby Coventry Transport Museum for an entertaining afternoon looking at Coventry's role in car making.
